I shot the silver recently with a Cambo 4x5 monorail, Fuji 64T, f/11, 1". The chrome itself looks pretty good, much better than this scan.
The light was positioned above the table top behind a diffusion panel. A bounce card was placed in front, just below the camera lens. I tilted the front standard a bit to make the plate look circular. This was not as difficult as I had expected.
